Hello, I’m Azua Shafii, a passionate and dedicated freediver and instructor with a profound love for the ocean. My journey into the world of freediving began since 2012, and it has transformed my life in the most incredible ways.

As a competitive freediver, I have trained rigorously to push my limits and explore the depths of my potential. My dedication to the sport has led me to achieve more than 30times Malaysia records in pool and depth. Every dive is a new challenge, a chance to refine my skills, and an opportunity to connect more deeply with the underwater world.

My competitive experience has not only honed my physical abilities but also taught me the importance of mental resilience and calmness under pressure. These are essential qualities that I bring into my role as an instructor.

As an instructor at Apnea Odyssey, I am committed to sharing my knowledge and passion for freediving with others. I believe in a holistic approach to freediving education, emphasizing the importance of safety, proper technique, and mental preparation. My teaching philosophy is centered on helping my students build confidence and competence in the water while fostering a deep respect for the marine environment.

I specialize in a range of courses, from beginner to Instructor levels, including the SSI Freediver course for beginners and our Freediving Instructor Training Program. Whether you are taking your first breath-hold dive or aiming to dive past 40 meters, I am here to guide and support you on your journey.
